SinePathShala (DryThing Technology) operates the SinePathShala mobile application ("SinePathShala"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect user information in a clear and transparent manner.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use our app:

• Name and Email Address – used for login, creating your account, and communication.
• Google Sign-In Data NEW – If you choose to log in or register using Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile photo) directly from your Google account. This information is used strictly to authenticate you, create your account seamlessly, and personalize your profile within the app.
• Profile Photo – users may upload a display picture (DP) using the device's system photo picker. This image is stored securely on Firebase Storage and is used only for profile identity inside the app.
• Approximate or Precise Location – collected only when you use the "Nearby Institutes" feature, and only if you grant permission. This is used solely to find educational centers near you. Location data is not stored on our servers and is not used for any other purpose.
• App Activity – including lessons opened, quiz progress, and general in-app interactions. This helps us improve app features and user experience.
• Device Information – such as device model, operating system, and crash logs collected through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve performance and fix issues.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage user accounts
• To display your profile photo inside the app
• To show nearby educational institutes based on your current location (only when you use that feature)
• To improve app features, content, and performance
• To send important notifications if you grant permission
• To maintain app security and prevent misuse

Data Storage & Security

Personal data is stored securely using Firebase Authentication, Firestore Database, Firebase Storage, and in certain cases locally on the user's device using Android Room Database. Data is encrypted during transfer and stored on secure Google servers. Location data is never stored on our servers — it is used in real-time only to fetch nearby institute results and is immediately discarded.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with:

• Google Firebase – for authentication (including Google Sign-In), storage, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Location Services (Device Only) – your location is processed on-device and used only to query nearby institutes. It is not transmitted to or stored on DryThing Technology servers.

No other third parties have access to your personal data.

Permissions We Use

• Internet Permission – required to load course content, videos, authentication, and other online features.
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION – UPDATED
  These permissions are requested only when you tap the "Nearby Institutes" feature. We use your device's GPS (fine location) or network-based location (coarse location) to find educational centers near your current geographic area.
  • Location is accessed only while the app is in use — we do not access location in the background.
  • Location data is never stored, logged, or shared with any third party.
  • You can deny or revoke this permission at any time from your device Settings → Apps → SinePathShala → Permissions. Denying location permission will only disable the Nearby Institutes feature; all other app features will work normally.
• Profile Photo Access – only requested when you explicitly choose to upload a profile photo through your device's system photo picker. The app does not access your gallery without your action.
• Notification Permission – used to send reminders, course updates, and important alerts. You may choose to allow or block notifications.

Children's Privacy

SinePathShala is designed to be safe for learners of all ages, including students of Classes 6–12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary for login and learning features. Location data, when collected, is used in real-time only and is never stored or linked to a child's profile. If you believe a child has shared personal information without guardian consent, please contact us and we will remove it immediately.

Data Deletion Rights

In accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, you can request deletion of your account and all personal data (including email, profile information, and usage data) at any time by contacting us at drythingtechnology@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Once we receive your request, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through an in-app notification or other reasonable means. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
